From Oaxaca, Mexico, comes this hand embroidered cushion cover. Monse is a lady from Oaxaca that collaborates with a cooperative, that is formed by a group of indigenous women artisans. Cooperatives work together to offer a wider range of products from the same community. 
Each piece is embroidered by hand with cotton thread and fill stitch on rayon fabric. The embroidery is very fine and even inside you will see the pattern of the stitches that creates the same design as the front, but without the filling. Artisans are used to drawing without templates, all by hand. The motifs are normally large birds and flowers in irregular proportions and repetitions.
