This base of the cushion and table runner is made using the wasitloom technique, getting the canvas that is embroidered after. The embroidery from the outside reflects the elements of nature that symbolizes abundance and the universe. The flower in the centre represents the main activity of the community (floriculture). According to their beliefs, only 3 colours are allowed to be used in the same piece. If a piece has more than 3 colours, it will represent a lack of respect to the Mazahua embroidery.
